As part of this commitment, we offer a 5-year craftsmanship warranty on our custom moss art installations. This warranty underscores the precision and care that goes into every aspect of our frames, ensuring they remain a lasting addition to your space.
Our Process:
1. Hand-Selected, Knotless Wood: We use only the finest wood, hand-selected to be knotless, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish that enhances both the beauty and durability of our frames. For our exotic natural woods, we take extra care to handpick each piece to ensure the grain is unique, showcasing its natural beauty.
2. Titebond Ultimate III Wood Glue: Our frames are bonded using Titebond Ultimate III wood glue, a leading choice for its superior bond strength and waterproof formula. This glue meets ANSI/HPVA Type I water-resistance specifications and is both non-toxic and solvent-free, ensuring a strong and safe construction. With a longer open assembly time and lower application temperature, it allows for meticulous craftsmanship.
3. Precision Sanding with Diablo Sandpaper: Using Diablo sandpaper, known for its premium ceramic grain blend, we sand our frames down to a minimum with 220 grit, resulting in exceptionally smooth surfaces and clean finishes that stand up to the test of time.
4. Durable and Advanced Paint Finish: We apply BEHR Dynasty paint, which offers the most advanced stain repellency and unmatched scuff resistance. With a minimum of three coats, we ensure that our frames maintain their pristine appearance for longer, resembling a powder coat finish before applying a clear topcoat for additional protection.
5. Minwax® Clear Lacquer for Exotic Woods: For our exotic wood finishes, we use Minwax® Clear Lacquer, a beautiful and durable protective wood finish. This clear lacquer is ideal for interior wood surfaces and can be applied over bare or stained wood, producing a smooth, dust-free traditional clear satin finish that enhances and protects the natural beauty of the wood.
6. High-Grade 5.2mm Ply Backing: Our frames feature a 5.2mm ply backing, crafted to the highest standards of strength and appearance. Sanded plywood, known for its minimal core voids and overlaps, ensures durability and beauty. The calibrated panel provides uniform thickness, guaranteeing that all cut pieces of your project fit perfectly and withstand daily use. This quality also helps prevent issues such as chip-out during cutting or an uneven stain appearance when applied.
7. Secure Mounting: Each piece is braced with a half-inch thick French cleat, paired with 75 lbs interior drywall anchors or 75 lbs exterior stucco anchors, ensuring superior strength and secure installation.
8. Rigorous Outdoor Testing: Our frames are tested to withstand natural elements like rain, hail, sun, and wind, ensuring they maintain their integrity without warping over time.
Warranty Details:
Our 5-year craftsmanship warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. While this warranty does not extend to misuse or the treatment of moss, it is our assurance that each piece will maintain its quality and appearance for years to come.
